Tungsten probe and handle
This is a 5 micron tungsten needle with a beautifully balanced handle. The needle is strong and will work very effectively to manipulate the sample when in the resin. Its expense is justified where the conservators are likely to be making a large number of paint cross sections.
Micro needle and handle
A very fine stainless steel needle. This easily pierces the miniscus of the resin, and should be used to reposition sample which might have moved on addition of the resin.
The handle is specifically made to hold the micro needle.
Micro scalpel (blades and handle)
Disposable stainless steel blades. These are very fine and are ideal for working under microscopes.
These are available in two shapes:
A: pointed end.
B: rounded end.
The handle is small, slim and comfortable.
(diameter: 5.65mm; length: 130mm)
Dropper bottle
15ml bottle to dispense white spirit for wetting sample.
Box of 100 cover slips
Round, glass cover slips (diameter: 8mm). These reduce evaporation of wetting solution.
.02ml vial with cap
Small vial ideal for storing paint samples until they can be mounted.
Storage boxes
Clear plastic boxes which hold 12 EasySections stood upright or 15 laid flat. The boxes are particularly useful for storing groups of sections.
